Jan 23, 2020 · JACS Au (pronounced “JACS Gold”) will launch later this year as a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal that lives up to the incredibly high editorial standards that have made the original JACS the most-cited journal in all of chemistry. . For this reason, each year we appoint an Early Career Advisory Board (ECAB) that will provide perspectives from emerging independent scholars.

[1] The journal has absorbed two other publications in its history, the Journal of Analytical and Applied Chemistry (July 1893) and the American Chemical Journal (January 1914). JACS Au will be a highly selective journal, offering initial peer review by the editorial team, followed by external review by a panel of expert referees. JACS Au will employ the highest standards of peer review, rapid times to decision and publication, and rigorous editorial processes as exemplified by the Society’s publishing program.
